Learn Nothing Day: Notes on product mark-up on CafePress site
Buy a shirt, or a mug, or a clock! Many other items are there available with only a teensy small mark-up. The smallest mark-up on an item was 50¢ and the largest was $3. The first $50 that comes in goes to Holly for doing the artwork. After that, the money will go toward supporting my site.
The decisions were somewhere between compassionate and arbitrary. If something was already pretty cheap I wanted to keep it cheap. If it was already high, I didn't want to make it too high, so the top and bottom range things probably only have a $1 mark-up (or less). In the middle range, it was in the $1.51 to $3 range.
